Three generations of style making half a century of history

Our company, now known for the JUMP® brand, has quite an interesting backstory...

In 1960, Mr Menzer founded the Société Alsacienne de Maroquinerie, one of the largest leather goods companies in France.

When Mr Bernard Ehret joined the company as Managing Director in 1969, the company turned its focus to making dive bags. 

He innovated massively in this area. As cotton didn’t smell too great when it came into contact with salt water, he replaced it with tarpaulin from trucks. This was the start of a wonderful adventure into the world of sport!

We were soon designing and manufacturing for prestigious brands, such as:

Skiing : 

  • SALOMON
  • ROSSIGNOL
  • or ATOMIC

Tennis : 

  • DUNLOP
  • HEAD
  • and LACOSTE

Diving : 

  • SPIROTECHNIQUE
  • BEUCHAT
  • COMEX

By the beginning of the 1980s, we were the No. 1 sports bag manufacturer in Europe.

At the same time, we were working with clothing brands such as DANIEL HECHTER and NEW MAN.

We launched the first JUMP® branded luggage.

Our ethos is to continuously strive for a balance between aesthetics and practicality.

When it comes to luggage, we have been tearing up the rule book for over 40 years now, moving away from purely functional, black luggage towards dynamic designs that cleverly combine form and function with sophisticated colours and materials.
